Winston (Win) Robbins, PhD: About the Author
Analytical Chemistry Expert, Becht
Win Robbins retired from EMRE in 2003 with 34 years experience developing methods for analytical characterization of petroleum-related to refinery processes and corrosion. Since retirement, he has been active in consulting with refining and inhibitor companies on hot oil corrosion. As adjunct professor at ICMT at Ohio University, he has provided guidance on the effect of oil composition on hot oil corrosion rates. In addition, he has collaborated with NHFML at FSU in developing analyses for nap acid and reactive sulfur that support that work. Win holds 13 patents and has authored or co-authored over 60 papers related to petroleum composition and corrosion.
