Dave Dewees P.E. is a BS/MS Mechanical Engineer with 20 years’ experience in the refining, petrochemical and power generation industries. He has been active in ASME codes and standards for more than 15 years and has actively contributed as a member and contributing member to the API/ASME Fitness-for-Service Joint Committee in the areas of high temperature technology, welding residual stress and fatigue and fracture mechanics. He has had multiple leadership roles related to high temperature technology modernization and development within ASME over the last 5 years. He currently manages the Mechanical Engineering Division for Becht and is based out of the Becht Ohio Engineering office.
