Dave Hansen has 15 years experience in academic environments, including teaching and research at Universities. His 42 years in industry has been devoted mostly to helping solve metallurgy and corrosion problems in the hydrocarbon and petrochemical industries. This experience includes failure analyses, recovery from plant fires and explosions, preparation of standards, specifications, and materials of construction recommendations for major capital projects, risk-based inspection studies, fitness-for-service studies and serving as an expert witness for metallurgy/corrosion-related litigation and subrogation.
