Elizabeth Allen: About the Author
Senior Engineer, DNV GL
Elizabeth Allen is a Senior Engineer in the Integrity Solutions section at DNV GL. Ms. Allen joined DNV GL in 2008 after obtaining her B.S. if Materials Science and Engineering from The Ohio State University. Ms. Allen experience in the areas related to pipeline integrity management, in-line inspection analysis, seam weld integrity management, and corrosion growth assessment. She has spent time participating and led DNV GL projects related to ILI assessment for several North-American and Canadian onshore pipeline operators. A significant part of her work involves crack and seam weld integrity management such as pressure cycling analysis, fatigue calculations, remaining life assessments, and mitigation selection support. In addition, Ms. Allen is a lead project manager for DNV GL’s statistically active corrosion growth assessment which incorporates ILI results to identify statistical bias in ILI performance, calculates local corrosion growth rates, and calculate deterministic remaining lives to establish re-assessment interval for a pipeline segment.
