Leomar Penuela is a Senior Consultant-Corrosion Specialist at Asset Optimization Consultants and has over 30 years of experience. He spent more than twenty years in oil refineries and crude upgraders providing technical services in the areas of corrosion, inspection, and reliability. During the last eight years he has been acting as a consultant corrosion engineer supporting the refining, oil sand production, gas plants, and petrochemical sectors, performing corrosion studies, corrosion control manuals and CCDs for implementation of risk based inspection programs. His area of specialty include corrosion control, inspection programs, failure analysis, materials selection and corrosion studies.
