Mike Marshall, PE is an Oil & Gas industry consultant, and has over 33 years’ experience working in the refining industry. While working first with Chevron (10 years) and then Marathon Petroleum Company (23 years - retired), he progressed through various in-plant and corporate refining plant and project engineering, operations, maintenance, and equipment inspection/reliability supervisory and managerial positions. In addition to management system business processes, metrics and KPIs, Mike has also developed and successfully put into practice a proprietary refining incident and loss database as well as process optimization methodology (via RCFA) which quantifies the economic impact of equipment anomalies, LOPC incidents and upset/malfunction operating conditions.
