Mr. Hegger is a metallurgist/corrosion engineer specializing in materials selection, corrosion vulnerability assessment, failure analysis and weld repair of stationary equipment in the petroleum refining industry. He is familiar with the application of common refinery inspection processes and repair execution in a turnaround scenario. Half of his 30 years of experience has been within the central research group of refining organizations, and half has been working directly within specific refineries. His understanding of basic refining processes and operation adds value to the execution of unit materials and corrosion reviews, as well as failure assessments.
