Mike Urzendowski: About the Author
Technical Advisor, Valero Energy
Mike Urzendowski has 28 years of experience in the fields on metallurgy, inspection, fired heater remaining life studies and forensic analysis. He has worked approximately half his career as an independent consultant and the last half working for owner-users, managing pressure equipment integrity groups, internally auditing mechanical integrity programs, and providing in-house consulting in areas of metallurgy, welding, corrosion and inspection. In his current role with Valero, Mr. Urzendowski is responsible to provide technical guidance to 14 refineries, 10 ethanol plants and a bio-diesel facility.
He has a MS degree in Metallurgical Engineering from University of Wisconsin, Madison and a BS degree in Metallurgical Engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, IL.
